The Calgary Food Bank is the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing a crisis. As the city’s main charitable food hub and the most accessible food bank, they have the capacity to serve families, individuals, and organizations to fight hunger. The Calgary Food Bank relies solely on the generous support of the community and people like you! Their mission is together, we fight hunger and its root causes because no one should go hungry. Their vision is a hunger-free community.
They have multiple strategic priorities which include Feed, Lead, and Connect. These priorities ensure hunger is relieved and support is provided to clients who are experiencing food insecurities. They also want to expand their role as a catalyst in inspiring, engaging, and empowering the community to build a food-secure future. All while continuing to strengthen their network to address the root causes of food insecurity. The Calgary Food Bank’s values are client-centricity, community, clarity, and collaboration.
We were able to collaborate with the Calgary Food Bank and make some mismatched food bank socks that we were honoured to help out and support in whatever small way we can. These socks officially sold out in early 2022 and we were able to donate $3400!
